What is Detimi?
Detimi is an online dating app. It's available on Android, iPhone and the web.
How does it work?
First, you'll need to sign up with your email address. Then you'll create a profile. This helps us match you to
the
right people. You'll then add 2-5 photos of yourself. It is important that these are real photos. You can then
chat
in real time with anyone on the app you're interested in.
Is it free?
Detimi is free to use.
How do I pay?
You can add funds to the Detimi Wallet using mobile money or bank cards. Funds added to the wallet are not
refundable.

What is ‘Matches’?
’Matches’ is a feature which helps you find users who you like and who liked you back.
On the Matches page, you’ll be shown one user profile at a time. If you like the person in the shown profile,
click the ‘heart’ button. If you don’t, click the ‘x’. If 2 users like each other, both users are informed, and
you can start chatting.
What does “Verify your email” mean?
After joining Detimi, you’ll be asked to verify your email. This means we check if the email you used is real.
This helps us reduce fraud.
If you register on the app, we’ll send you an email with a verification code. Enter the code in the app to
verify your email.
If you register on the website, we’ll send you an email with a verification link. Click the link in the email to
verify your email.
If you can’t find this email, check the other email folders such as the promotions tab in Gmail or rarely, the
spam folder. If this fails, contact support at [email protected]
I sent a message and I did not get a reply. What do I do?
Sending a message does not guarantee a response. Detimi is Uganda's fastest growing dating app. You can message
someone else who might be a better match for you.
Photos have failed to upload, what do I do?
Make sure you’re uploading photos not videos. Make sure you have an internet connection.
I want to remove a photo. What do I do?
To remove photos, please make sure you’ve uploaded 3 or more photos. Go to the My Profile page. On the App,
you’ll see the Add Photos button. On the site, you’ll see the photos section.
If you have more than 2 photos, you’ll see a button with an ‘x’ on each photo. Click it to delete the photo. If
you have 5 photos, you’ll need to remove 1 to add another.
How can I edit my profile?
Go to the My Profile page. On the app, tap “Edit Profile”. On the website, you can edit your profile on the My
Profile page. You cannot change your username for now.
